Today consisted of yet more shopping for the kids. We were going to try to stick to $250.00 per kid but we have already surpassed that limit. I didn’t think we were supposed to go broke to celebrate Jesus’ Birthday. What’s up with that? The crowds were not bad at the stores we went to today. We had to make a run to BJ’s Wholesale Club it wasn’t busy at all. We went next door to Kohls to do some more shopping for the kids and family. It wasn’t busy either. When I say busy I mean ridiculously busy. MS and I went out to eat with some friends Mark and Leigh. We went to LongHorn Steakhouse it was fantastic.
It was a fun Black Friday. The wife and I went Christmas shopping for the kids. We have most of it done now. It is easy to go broke when your daughter wants all her stuff from Hollister. The crowds were ridiculous but that is to be expected when you are dumb enough to go shopping on the busiest shopping day of the year.
Anyway, it was lots of fun. MS and I ate at Ruby Tuesday. Yummy! Their salad bar rocks even though their ranch dressing is low calorie ranch it still tastes great.
What a GREAT day it was for Thanksgiving. I made the best turkey we have had in 10 years. It was so moist! The mashed potatoes with my homemade turkey gravy rocked. My 7 year old helped me make my grandmothers famous German Pumpkin Pie recipe. They were fantastic although I have to say that MS’s banana dessert was WAY WAY WAY GOOD and I am not a huge banana fan.
I can’t wait to do this all over again soon.
I am working on cataloging all my DVDs online. What a chore.
